This mask was designed and made by Bao Quoc Vu. The face is painted in the style of the pagoda guardian (found in many pagodas in Vietnam.) The hair is horse tail.
Carved out of wood and hand painted by the artist, his masks are inspired by Vietnamese theatrical characters. He is one of the few mask masters living in Hanoi. .
The two characters of the Good Saint and the Mean Saint are always together. Their statues are found in many pagodas and temples in Vietnam.
